The Metaconversations: Assumptions, biases, and choices of people in conversations
Conversations of many forms and functions follow simple rules with recursive nature. How does a conversation work? What do we bring to and take from our conversations? What are some micro-decisions we make in each utterance to co-orient toward the preferred future?
In the field of coaching and mentoring where conversations are often presented as the main means of transformative process, understanding and applying these simple rules would be not only useful but critically necessary. In this session, you will learn simple building blocks of transformative interactions in conversations so that you can be intentionally applying them in your next conversation.
